July 2020 Yard of the Month

Congratulations to the owners at 818 Ridgedale Drive! Please read what they had to say about their yard

Thank you for the honor of receiving July Yard of the Month!  It’s a true labor of love for our family.

We’ve lived here for over 20 years and have learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t work in the yard.  The Yaupons are the only original plant in the front yard.  We recently added two beautiful Red Oaks and a Pistachio tree to replace the Magnolia that we had to part ways with after many years.

We learned early on that our love for plants and a beautiful yard come from working with our Parents and Grandparents and the love they had from working in the soil and the pleasure it gave them.

We figured out early on that perennials were the best way to go for our yard.  From the Irises in early Spring to the Hydrangeas and Hostas that bloom throughout the summer, it’s exciting to see what comes back year after year.

We believe that our yard represents an extension of our home and are pleased to share this with our neighbors, who often compliment and admire what we have done.

We believe that Heights Park is a wonderful place to live!

Best,

Kristen Broberg
